Allotment anger ...

The mare's tails seem to be undefeatable. They poke their little rat's faces through the soil again and again, and again ... I will soon have a reputation on the allotment as the woman-who-talks-to -herself - I am the Queen in Alice in Wonderland who shouts 'Off with their heads' ! Apparently mare's tails have been associated far and wide with fairies, goblins, toads, snakes, and the Devil, and was the only plant that survived the Ice Age ... Now, that should tell me somethimg - perpetual warfare!.
