Amidst all this rain my garden this year is bulging out of it's spaces, all colours, and all shades of green. Unfortunately so are some of my potatoes, Most of them, however, are OK which is nice since this is my first time growing them. Could possibly be the last, at least at that scale. But my runner beans are running up my southfacing wall, closely knit with the sweat peas (luktärt), and bonding at the base with nasturtium(krasse). I've left the poppies(vallmo) to their own devices, and they have come out all colours and everywhere. And now the rudbeckias, and the sweet bergamot(temynta) are cascading purple. Almost buried by them is my tiny blackcurrent bush. This year's harvest became two small jars of jam, my favourite ... And when the evening draws in, tea made from mint and lemon balm leaves fills a gap ... Good gardening!

Cilla!

Dear Velu,
Long time since your comment - the garden has changed its look considerably since. But it's amazing how many colours there are even i January - green grass, yellow grasses and red stems.
And there is promise of spring - the daffodils and crocuses are showing ...!
